Color Without Restraint.

Peacock is one of Blkwhiser's most distinctive compositions—a bracelet built through color, texture and an intentionally varied mix of materials.

African and Japanese seed beads create intricate shifts in scale and pattern, joined by semiprecious stones and Czechoslovakian beads that introduce additional color, reflection and movement. Small .925 sterling-silver beads run throughout the composition, while 10-karat gold accents provide unexpected points of warmth.

The smaller scale of the materials is central to the design. Ranging approximately from 3mm to 6mm, the beads allow Peacock to build complexity through repetition and contrast rather than the larger individual elements found in many Blkwhiser bracelets.

Sterling silver provides the architecture at either end. Smaller versions of Blkwhiser's substantial Gator-style .925 sterling-silver bead caps frame the composition, leading into a sterling-silver lobster clasp.

Internally, Peacock is constructed over a double-run coated stainless-steel cable, passed through the bracelet twice to support the smaller-diameter beads and their correspondingly smaller openings.

The result is deliberately eclectic: African and Japanese beadwork traditions, Czech glass, semiprecious stone, sterling silver and gold brought together in a single composition.

Each Peacock is assembled by hand.
